On Wednesday, May 10th, 2017, WIRe joined thousands around the globe for an international celebration of 50/50 Day, organized by Let It Ripple! 50/50 Day is a global initiative aimed to start a conversation about what it will take to get to a more gender-balanced world in all sectors of society. WIRe pursues 50/50 through our 50/50 Initiative, where we promote a 50/50 gender split on stage and beyond.

A main theme in the film was on the importance of a mentor, something which WIRe also offers through our award winning one-on-one mentoring program and our open forum Office Hours program.

Thank you to those who joined us online for a live screening and discussion of the film ’50/50′ by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Tiffany Shlain. It’s with the support of the WIRe community that we can show the world we’re behind the issue and taking action to move towards #GenderEquality.
