Monday, August 26th is Women's Equality Day: a significant day that honors the trailblazers who have led us towards a more just and equitable world. Women's Equality Day commemorates the historic moment when women were granted the right to vote in the United States. This celebration has now expanded globally, with communities around the world joining in solidarity to continue the fight for gender equality.
Every year, we make it our mission to utilize this holiday to champion equality in our industry and beyond, igniting a spark that encourages others to embrace a culture of equity and balance. We are mindful of the challenges faced by so many this year; layoffs and financial setbacks have disproportionately affected the professional journeys of women in our industry and will undoubtedly have a lasting impact for years to come.
That's why, we've turned our focus toward the heightened need for professional development support from our members. We're currently seeking donations for our WIRe Accelerate scholarship fund, awarding hundreds of women with free access to professional development resources and support since the program's inception.
Contribute $500 to the WIRe Accelerate Scholarship fund and receive a complimentary extra seat to gift to a deserving individual of your choice. Additionally, as a token of our appreciation, donors of $500 or more will be celebrated in a dedicated social media post and recognized on our website for their generous donation.
