Since graduating from Vanderbilt University with degrees in history and English, Julia has been working and learning in the research industry for nearly 20 years - first on the client side for Gap, Inc., and Crocs, and most recently for technology driven research companies like 20|20 Research and Schlesinger Group (now Sago).

As Director of Performance Psychology for the Chicago Blackhawks, Dr. A.J. Sturges is at the forefront of mental health and athlete wellness in the NHL. His role provides stable and trustworthy support not only when specific needs arise, but also when individuals and groups are at their best.

Dr. Sturges' background in elite hockey (competing for the U.S. National Team and Michigan State University) and as a licensed counselor provides unique insight to human performance in the context of professional sports. He believes in creating empowering environments, and that by improving individual capacity we can unlock collective mental health literacy.
