Mr. George Abuoro is a Media Research Specialist, with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi. George has over 18 years’ experience in Media Research, having gained extensive experience in client advisory support on Media Investments.
George is the current Client Service Manager at Ipsos in Kenya. He also sits in various committees including the Gender Balance Network, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion among others. He is also a mentor with the Research Club of Africa, an initiative that focuses on mentoring high school students with a priority of elevating research at the center of learning. This year, he mentored Lavington Girls’ Secondary School to the national level of the research competitions, where the school finished third overall, having successfully carried out their research on ‘Post COVID-19 Innovations, E-learning’.
George is passionate about environmental sustainability and is currently serving as the President Elect for the Rotary Club of Lavington-Eco. He has also previously served as the Foundation Director as well as Membership Director of the club.
He has been involved in key club projects such as the UNEP-funded Adopt-a-River Initiative and the Urban Greening efforts in Nairobi.
George is married with three children.
Popularly known as ‘Simie’, believes that any human being can blossom given the right attitude, ambition and environment. The world has endless opportunities for everyone, so does the research field for women in Africa. I am actively involved in various women organisations to constantly play my role in empowering and improving women’s lifestyles and emotional health. When I joined Kantar, I immediately joined the Women at Kantar committee and recently the Inclusion and Diversity committee for WECA.
Simie, is an Analytics Consultant for West, East and Central Africa at Kantar, driving strategic thinking in a wide range of human and AI led analytics techniques and solutions amongst businesses in the region. Over the past 20 years, she has led marketing and communications strategy development and growth for various regional and global brands across multiple markets in SA, Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe etc, actively participating in management and leadership committees to drive optimal business growth.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master of Science Degree in Managerial Psychology (UNICAF) plus various industry qualifications.
A proficient distribution head with 20 years of work experience, who has consistently delivered profitable growth through the teams nurtured as well as through rich partnerships within the financial services industry. A seasoned leader with a commendable track record of developing and managing successful execution of various strategic initiatives.
Christine holds MBA in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance both from the University of Nairobi. She is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute, FLMI; a Chartered Pensions Manager, CPAM® from the American Academy of Financial Management as well as a Certified Pension Trustee from the College of Insurance.
She is passionate about financial wellness. Her legacy will be to have equipped as many wealth custodians as possible, who will in turn transfer intergenerational wealth over years to come, having lived well and retired comfortably.
In her current role at ICEA LION Life Assurance, she is accountable for general leadership and oversight to the Business Development team to acquire profitable new business and to retain existing accounts.
She serves as a member of the Pension committee in the Association of Kenya Insurers. She is also a member of the Women on Boards Network.
She has served as a board member/director in the education sector, small medium enterprise as well as other informal organizations.
Christine volunteers with various community causes specifically with children and women. She also mentors a few young people as well as some start-up businesses.
Elizabeth is a trained Economist and seasoned fund manager with over 17 years’ investment management and leadership experience. She is the Chief Executive Officer of Absa Asset Management Ltd, a leading fund manager affiliated to Absa Group Plc which is listed in the Nairobi Securities Exchange. Prior to joining Absa, she was the General Manager, Business Development and Client Relations at ICEA LION Asset Management Limited until August 2022. She has previously worked in the investment management industry as a Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager handling portfolios in excess of USD 1 billion. She started as an economist in the Office of the President before transitioning to an Analyst with African Alliance Investment Bank.
Elizabeth holds a masters degree in Economics from University of Nairobi and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA©). She is also a Certified Productivity and Engagement Coach by International Coaching Federation. She is passionate about financial markets, economics, investments, TechWealth, and enjoys writing articles and training in these areas.
