As SVP, Client Services Manager at Burke, Inc., Thania Farrar leads a team of talented account executives as they help client partners gain a research-fueled perspective that moves their business forward. She is driven by her passion and curiosity for understanding why people do what they do, and for building insight through a combination of emerging research solutions and traditional approaches to help companies achieve greater success.
Thania specializes in the design and implementation of research programs focused on customers, consumers, shoppers and multicultural populations across a wide range of industries. Hallmarks of Thania’s consultative approach include her ability to translate complex business issues into actionable research learning plans. Her research expertise and her focus on the communication of insights that inspire action earned her the trust of her client partners.
Thania joined Burke in 1999, most recently serving as Director of Research Innovation and as an Account Executive prior to that. She earned her MBA from University of Cincinnati and her bachelor’s degree from Universidad Internacional de las Américas in San José, Costa Rica.
Beth Teehan is COO of EMI Research Solutions. She has a wide range of marketing research industry experience from previous roles in executive level positions with large global research companies; Abt Associates, TNS, Kantar Operations, Milward Brown and Burke Research. Additionally, Beth has served on the national board for the Marketing Research Association and MRII, worked on many committees, spoken at conferences, and remains active in the research industry. She inspires thought leadership to bring functional efficiency and research integrity to the MRX industry.
Jamila Watson is a highly accomplished and deeply driven marketing professional with a successful track record in marketing research, brand strategy and innovation. With over 20 years of experience across numerous industry verticals coupled with the unique vantage point of serving as a client, consultant and supplier, throughout her career, Jamila is a highly regarded strategic partner and gatherer of actionable insights. Rejoining FedEx Services in early 2018, she serves as Insights & Research Advisor within its Insights, Innovation & Design organization. Prior to FedEx, Jamila was an Account Manager at Burke Inc. and Insights Strategist with Seed Strategy. She has an MBA from the University of Cincinnati and a BBA with a concentration in Marketing from The University of Memphis.
Jamila is a community leader and her passion for servant leadership is intrinsically weaved into all aspects of her life. In addition to her recent appointment to the Industry Advisory Board for Temple University’s MSMR program, she is heavily engaged with numerous local community organizations. Current roles include serving as a board member for The Metropolitan Club and Delta Gateway Foundation. Jamila is also on the steering committee for the Cincinnati Black Giving Circle (Greater Cincinnati Foundation) and serves as Program Advisor for YWCA Greater Cincinnati’s Rising Star Leadership Development Program. In May 2022, she’ll be graduating from Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership NKY program.
A resident of North College Hill, Jamila speaks “bourbon” fluently and is on the pursuit to complete the Bourbon Trail! She also enjoys travel and power-walking.
